Hi, I’m Loren - founder of Lumi Coaching.

As a mum of four, I understand how difficult it can be to balance family life, work, and your own health goals without feeling stretched thin by the end of the week. Like many women, I know what it feels like to try to do everything “right” - training hard, eating well, and pushing through - while overlooking the impact of stress, recovery, and the mental load that comes with real life.

Although my professional background began in law and public policy, I was always drawn to women’s health, nutrition, and fitness. After experiencing clinically diagnosed postnatal depression and burnout, I was forced to take a different approach. I became deeply invested in understanding what the body truly needs to feel well, perform well, and sustain progress over time.

When I shifted my focus towards proper nutrition, structured strength training, recovery, and stress management, everything changed. My energy improved. My strength improved. My body composition improved. I was doing less, but getting better results.

That experience led me to formally study nutrition and fitness, and to pursue a Master’s degree in Counselling, so I could support women through both the physical and behavioural side of change.

Today, I help women stop second-guessing their nutrition, build strength and confidence, improve body composition, and create a healthier, more sustainable way of looking after themselves - with an approach that fits real life and supports long-term health and longevity.

About Me

Hi, I’m Loren.

I came to this work the long way around. Before I trained as a nutritionist and counsellor, I worked in law and public policy. Two master's degrees, a corporate career, and the assumption that the harder I pushed, the better the results would be.

What broke that assumption was clinical postnatal depression and burnout after my fourth child. I'd been training hard, eating "right," and ignoring every recovery and stress signal my body was sending. The strategy I'd built in my twenties wasn't working anymore, and the cost of staying on it was getting too high.

So I rebuilt it. I shifted toward proper nutrition, structured strength training, recovery, and stress management. I did less and got better results. Energy returned. Strength came back. Body composition shifted. The mood and motivation followed.

That experience changed the work I wanted to do. I formally trained in nutrition and fitness, and started a master's in counselling, so I could support other women through both the physical and the behavioural sides of change. Now I coach women in their thirties, forties, fifties and beyond who are ready to stop guessing and build something that lasts.
